This is a beginner’s workshop on learning how to use the wheel or for those who wish to hone and perfect their throwing skills. Beginners will learn the basics of how to prepare and use clay on the wheels, decorating and embellishing items made and then how to glaze and fire their creations.
On day one the focus will be on throwing until there is a set of items that can go through to day 2 for turning. Two weeks is allowed between day two and day three for items to be dry enough for glazing and firing.
This course consists of one weekend Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 4 pm and the following fortnights Sunday 4 – 6 pm.
The course fee includes all of the clay, glazes and firing for items as per course curriculum. There will be a few items/tools that will need to be purchased, you will find this on the information sheet sent out at time of payment.
