What began in 1864 as a homestead and grounds for a number of Ōtautahi Christchurch’s prominent families has now become a special place for the community to gather and learn for almost 80 years!
Since 1944, Risingholme Learning has been providing adult and community education courses to promote lifelong learning and positively contribute to the educational legacy of the city and its people.
Come along on a guided tour of the Category 2 listed historic homestead and its beautiful park surroundings featuring several species from around the world, including a large native Kauri. A special timeline display showcasing aspects of Risingholme’s long-standing history has also been created for this event and will be available to view as part of the tour. Refreshments will be served in the homestead following the tour.
