Robyn is a trained teacher and counsellor. She calls herself a late Bloomer. She is a baby boomer and has tended to do things later in life than many others. After several decades of working in primary and secondary schools around Aotearoa New Zealand she returned to university. Her research focus for her Masters and PhD was on older people and their wellbeing. From her studies and at the time when her peers were looking to retire she set up her own business. Transition Navigators supports older people to make the best decisions about their major life events. These include, transitioning from work to retirement, deciding where to live when moving from their family home and how to come to terms with and enjoy being single.
Robyn loves supporting people to become more empowered to make well informed decisions about their future. She is also a passionate advocate of maintaining a good balance in life. She encourages people to embrace their creative self to relax and balance their mind. She demonstrates this by also teaching one of her creative passions, that of smocking.
