Mary Duff

Mary has an approachable and reassuring manner and enjoys empowering others to gain skills and confidence to complete their project.

Although Mary’s career work is in a science field, she has always loved making things. She has been fortunate to have woodworking mentors who specialise in furniture making, miniatures, carpentry and luthering. These specialists shared their knowledge to enable to Mary to make a marimba, a mandolin, and numerous cabinetry, joinery and repair jobs.

The skills Mary has gained from these teachers, as well as working in for two decades in food manufacturing, and qualifications training and assessment, ensure her students will receive practical and achievable advice for project planning, construction and finishing methods.
