Justine Jensen

My art career started at Risingholme when I was a stay-at-home mum with a 2 year old daughter, carving out some ‘me-time’ and a long repressed desire to find my creativity. Risingholme has a very welcoming and nurturing environment with exceptional tutors. I have taken several classes at Risingholme and at other establishments across many art styles and mediums including pastels, oils, watercolours, mixed media, printing, and drawing.

I have always embraced the beauty of colour and its power to evoke emotion. I am known for my expressive ink based paintings that burst with colour and are inspired by the stunning nature and birdlife of Aotearoa. Prior to discovering the art world I was in the corporate world as a Training Manager. I hope to combine my training experience with my love of art and my own art learning journey to create a positive learning environment for you.
