Juan (Miggy) Javier

My nickname is Miggy, and I am Deaf. I was born in the Philippines and moved to New Zealand in 2013. I graduated with a Certificate in Deaf Studies: Teaching NZSL from Victoria University of Wellington in 2017, and a Diploma in Creative Arts from The Learning Connexion, which I completed over two years. I have been teaching NZSL classes in both Christchurch and Dunedin since 2022, and I am now a qualified NZSL tutor. When I am not working, I enjoy hobbies such as artwork, basketball, going to the gym, walking on trails, and learning DIY skills from YouTube. I look forward to seeing you in class!
