Commercial sewing patterns, such as those brought from a store or online, sometimes require some tweaking in order to fit the body properly.
In this workshop, you will take an existing commercial pattern and learn how to make alterations to it to customise it to your specific measurements. The tutor will explain how a flat pattern relates to the three-dimensional body and how and where to make adjustments to suit different body shapes. You will leave with a complete and accurate sewing pattern that you can then take home to begin your next sewing project.
Learners will need to provide their own store-bought pattern and some basic sewing supplies (full material list provided on the course information sheet).
