The course is for those with some prior art experience.
Each term a new genre or art style will be explored to its fullest.
From cubism to renaissance, pop art to abstract we will explore all avenues of the genre in various ways. With colour, texture, print, paint and in all sorts of mediums from paint to pencil. The tutor will demonstrate lots of techniques but also expose the learner to a deeper understanding of what these artists were trying to achieve at that point in history. Personal narrative and exploration are encouraged by the tutor to build your own collection of art works.
Students supply their own materials. Helpful advice is given on options available.
