Venue Hire

Risingholme Community Centre is situated in a beautiful and peaceful English-style park setting with plenty of open space containing a childrens play area, outdoor seats, a drinking fountain and public toilets. The Risingholme homestead was built in 1864 and is now a multi-use facility with rooms available for hire by the community.

Please contact the City Council for permission to use the park.

Earthquake Update:
The Homestead and Hall have now been repaired and Risingholme Community Centre's Office has relocated back to the Homestead, 22 Cholmondeley Avenue, Opawa (just through the park).

The Bull Room and the Penney Room are accessed via 99 Hawford Road.

Bull Room

The Lyttelton bus service stops on Opawa Road.
Wheel chair ramp access to all main buildings

99 Hawford Road can be reached through the park, via Reeves Road or Hawford road.

CAR PARKING

Private off-street car park at 99 Hawford Road, with parking for 15 vehicles, this is first in first serve and cars are to be parked between painted white lines on the fence.
Street parking also available 99 Hawford Road, Reeves Road and 22 Cholmondeley Avenue.

No vehicle access to the Risinghomle Park
