Amanda Hoffman
Amanda was born and bred in Christchurch, and then started her Arts career over 35 years ago in Dunedin.
Knowing at high school that being creative was intrinsic, Amanda moved to Dunedin to Study Pottery for two years, gaining an ‘Advanced Certificate in Ceramics’ and then completed a ‘Bachelor of Fine Arts’ in Printmaking and Textiles, both At Otago School of Art.
Amanda has enjoyed a successful art making journey, running a studio supporting local artists, to making and selling, to exhibiting and participating in fundraising events within the local community and across New Zealand.
In 2012, Amanda completed a ‘Diploma in Person Centered Counselling’ at Vision College in Christchurch. After working in this area over the Canterbury earthquakes, she has found herself bringing together her passion for working in a person centered way to teaching at Risingholme learning since 2017.
