Make it Visible! Documentary Photography as Storytelling

Discover how to see beyond the surface and tell meaningful stories through your photographs.  This hands-on course introduces the foundations of documentary photography, from finding your story and building trust with subjects to shaping visual narratives that resonate.  Each week combines focused discussion, new topics around documentary photography, and feedback to help you develop your won authentic voice as a visual storyteller.

In this course you will learn to create your own short documentary project step by step from concept to final photo story.  Through weekly assignments and guided critique, you’ll learn to think like a visual storyteller not ‘just’ a photographer.

Learners will need to supply their own camera (DSLR, mirrorless or advanced compact), laptop or similar device with image editing software along with all chargers, manuals, batteries, cables, storage cards or hard drives etc needed for file storage and transfer.
