This one day beginners workshop is for anyone who wants to write books and stories for young children. Learn how to tell a story in a picture book, how to write a chapter book for young readers, and how the images enhance the story.
Learners will learn about the audiences for picture books and early readers, how to create simple story structures for readers up to the age of 8 years, creating characters and how to add humour, action and dialogue. A love of children’s books is helpful.
