Fermented Foods Taster

During this Taster you will get a great introduction to Fermented Foods. 

Making your own fermented foods and drinks is an easy way to improve your digestive health, use a surplus of veges and save money.

What can I expect to learn?   To learn the essentials of how to ferment vegetables, as well as how to make cider vinegar and kombucha.

What do I need to know before I start?  This is for beginners however you are welcome to join this taster to refresh any prior knowledge.

What do I need to have?  A device that can be used to participate in a Zoom meeting.  Pen/pencil, paper/notebook to take notes.

What will be provided?  The tutor will email the Zoom invite link with meeting ID and password plus any handouts needed prior to the session starting, please review these.

How will the Zoom session run?  This taster will run for 90 mins total which will be made up of 2 x 40 min Zoom sessions with a 10 min break between each.  

The aim of this Taster is to create a safe space for learners while you discover a new Life Style technique. This is for beginners however you are welcome to join this taster to refresh any prior knowledge.

What you need to know about Zoom:
This session will be run through Zoom.  
Do I need my own Zoom account?  NO, you do not need to have your own Zoom account to participate, an invite with a link, meeting ID and password will be emailed to you, by the tutor, at least 2 hours before your session will start.
Please check your inbox and spam folders for this email and click on the link at least 30min prior to your session starting to make sure you can follow the process to 'JOIN A MEETING' and are ready to go on time to avoid missing out on the start of your session.

IMPORTANT information:

 No classes on public holidays.

All courses need a minimum number to go ahead. If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel and will let you know either by email or text. Please check your emails regularly. Courses are usually confirmed or cancelled 2-3 working days prior to the scheduled start date.

NB: Only a paid enrolment secures a place in a class.

In most cases classes will be taught by the tutor named in the brochure/website on the dates stated. We make every effort to make our programme as accurate as possible at the time of printing. We do, however, reserve the right to make any changes that may be necessary. This includes changes to day, time, venue and tutor.


Refund Policy

Cancellation by us

We may, regretfully, have to cancel courses if we do not receive enough enrolments, in which case you will get a full refund.
We may choose to close a course if there is a high level of non-attendance or withdrawals, in which case a proportional refund may be made.

Cancellation due to extreme weather or Tutor illness

Wherever possible, we will offer replacement or extended sessions to make up for sessions cancelled due to extreme weather, tutor illness or other unforeseen reason.

Cancellation by the learner

If you need to withdraw from a course and you inform us in writing, at least a week before the course is due to start, you will be eligible for a refund minus a $20 administration charge.

If you withdraw from a course at any other time, you will not be eligible for a refund. No refunds are given after commencement of a course to ensure course viability.
