Sewing for Beginners

For Absolute beginners, this course is 'Stitching 101'.  It will teach you the basics of how to make basic projects such as a tote bag, apron and cushion to gain confidence to then move on to your chosen project.  You will learn basics of how to use a sewing machine, how to cut patterns, sew seams, put in a zip, add button holes and how to choose a pattern.  You will be shown how to select and prepare the material before cutting and be introduced to an overlocker.  You are welcome to bring your own machine or use the machines available within the class.

There may be a mixture of skills in the class but the tutor will cater for individual needs where possible.
