Movements with breath awareness to improve & maintain a functional range of movement by building strength, balance, and improving posture, including breath techniques for increased wellbeing on and off the mat. People work at their own pace to their own capacity. The general pace is slow & methodical to allow a felt experience and deepen learning.
Classes are beneficial for all ages and levels of experience, and modifications always offered to suit individuals’ needs. Classes are suitable for attending for multiple terms.
Students need to be able to comfortably get up and down from the floor for all Yoga classes. No medical condition without prior medical approval. We advise an empty stomach at least two hours prior to your class.

My Yoga journey started in 1999. Whilst I came to yoga for physical reasons, I also began to notice a general improvement in my mood and well being. As I gained strength & stability, I became more aware of how I was moving and this helped with a reduction in pain. In recent years I have become more curious about the therapeutic applications of Yoga and how it affects life off the mat, and am particularly interested the in effects of thoughts and language on our physiology, as well as our physiology’s effects on our mind. My teaching style could be described as either Functional Yoga, or Integrative Yoga. To me the “why?” is important. Helping participants connect what we are doing in the class to some aspect of their daily lives. To help them be more aware of how they move, improve & maintain functional movement patterns, learn techniques for meditation, relaxation and calm and find ways to do this off the mat as well as on the mat.

No classes on public holidays.
All courses need a minimum number to go ahead. If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel and will let you know either by email or text. Please check your emails regularly. Courses are usually confirmed or cancelled 2-3 working days prior to the scheduled start date.
We may, regretfully, have to cancel courses if we do not receive enough enrolments, in which case you will get a full refund.
We may choose to close a course if there is a high level of non-attendance or withdrawals, in which case a proportional refund may be made.
Wherever possible, we will offer replacement or extended sessions to make up for sessions cancelled due to extreme weather, tutor illness or other unforeseen reason.
If you need to withdraw from a course and you inform us in writing, at least a week before the course is due to start, you will be eligible for a refund minus a $20 administration charge.
If you withdraw from a course at any other time, you will not be eligible for a refund. No refunds are given after commencement of a course to ensure course viability.
