In most cases classes will be taught by the tutor named in the brochure/website on the dates stated. We make every effort to make our programme as accurate as possible at the time of printing. We do, however, reserve the right to make any changes that may be necessary.

A general introduction to guitar playing based on popular songs covering the basic chords, strumming with some finger-style work included. The course is focused on group participation but allows for some individual attention.

GUITAR PLAYING – DEVELOPMENT
Fee $65 8 – 9 pm 8 wks
Location Risingholme
This course builds on established knowledge of the common chords and develops a wider use of the guitar fingerboard. Strumming and finger style techniques are broadened. Tuners useful and capos essential.
Tutor: David Smith
The orchestra rehearses each week for enjoyment in music making. The rehearsal times suit home-makers, retired people and students. The music includes classical and lighter music for presentation at concerts during the year.

RISINGHOLME SINGERS
Mon 7.30 – 9.30 pm
Location: Risingholme
If you enjoy singing and can sing in tune the Risingholme Singers would love to hear from you. This group sings a wide variety of music and several public performances are given during the year. An ability to read music is an advantage but not essential. Male voices always wanted.
