Weaving
Summer School Weaving Workshop
In this short workshop, students will learn the basics of weaving on a simple loom and produce one woven scarf. If time allows, students will have the opportunity to have some discovery time to play with other woven patterns and structures on a rigid heddle loom. Looms will be provided. The tutor will charge a fee for the yarns used (approximately $20).

Weaving (Full class)
In this class, we teach beginners the basic skills and techniques of hand weaving and enable more advanced and experienced weavers the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge of colour, texture, patterns and techniques whilst completing individual projects.

About your tutors
Ildica was trained in textile design – specializing in weaving, in the UK and has run her own art studio weaving ever since. She has exhibited her work internationally and has taught at Risingholme for 9 years.
Anne has been weaving and spinning for fifty years and has written several books on the these subjects. She has been teaching overseas and in New Zealand for many years and had her own studio in the Arts Centre. For more information, see www.annefield.co.nz
