AEROBICS

Aerobics is a fun way to get fit and into shape. This class is aimed at those interested in high or low impact aerobics, catering for beginners, whilst also providing a challenge for more experienced participants who wish to increase their fitness levels.

This course will introduce you to the life changing experience of the Alexander Technique – for greater freedom in movement, poise, confidence and ease under stress. Comprehensive First Aid course with unit standards 6400, 6401 and 6402 taught. This course is the minimum training required for those who are appointed as First Aiders under the Health and Safety Act 1992. Includes free First Aid Manual.

This is a fun, mixed social group of all ages and for all levels of fitness and experience. Work at your own pace in a friendly non-competitive and enjoyable atmosphere. The class includes games, walking and activities and exercises chosen with a focus on enjoyment. New members always welcome.

Taught by NZ Mountain Safety, this course will enable you to enjoy the outdoors with greater confidence. For beginner trampers or for those wanting to update skills. Seven sessions plus a weekend (27 & 28 March suggested) Bush craft manual recommend (±$25). Students provide own food and transport for the weekend trip.

This short course is designed as an introduction to Reflexology for use at home. Learn about using special pressure techniques and massage on the reflex points of the hands and feet to aid stress relief and promote wellbeing - a step by step guide to carrying out simple Reflexology treatments at home. Bring a partner and you will be able to practise on each other in class and at home! Please bring 2 hand towels and your lunch. Wear comfortable shoes and hair tie.

T’ai Chi is a very gentle form of exercise and the reasons people do T’ai Chi are many, but underneath all the flexible movement patterns learned come the hidden benefits of T’ai Chi – a joyous, peaceful state of acceptance, well-being and harmony. This is a Hatha Yoga Class, a kind of yoga designed to discover the inner essence of the physical, mental and emotional levels of the body. Hatha Yoga has an impact on the body as it brings greater flexibility, vitality, energy and relaxation. Postures, breathing techniques and observation of their effects on your body takes you on a personal journey of discovery.

Yoga offers the opportunity to learn postures and breathing techniques which will improve your mental and physical well-being by integrating body, mind and breath.
