Learning to speak a new language – building a simple vocabulary, introduction to basic rules of grammar and coming to grips with pronunciation. Learn to listen and speak in a new way. For beginners who have absolutely no prior knowledge of the language.

About your tutors
Aliandra is Italian and currently a first year Ph.D. student in Russian Studies at the University of Canterbury. Her Ph.D. is on how the concept of family and its different components are treated by key Russian writers and philosophers from the 1880s to the 1930s. She is currently working as teaching assistant at the University of Canterbury. Before coming to Christchurch in February 2011, she taught Italian language and culture at the Moscow State University. She speaks Italian, French, Russian and English.
Alessia speaks Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese. She has a Masters in Land and Water Development in underdeveloped countries. She has taught in Italy and Ecuador.
